Can you believe it?
The LeaderWorks Trust has impacted the lives of thousands of people in 40+ churches. We are humbled and grateful. We have helped these congregations raise over $50,000,000!!!! And counting!
You can learn more about the fantastic opportunity for Anglican churches in the ACNA by going to our website and reading, marking, learning, and inwardly digesting it all.
And…in other news…
1. Stewardship Seminar – May 28 at 2:30 PM (CT)
I’m leading a 90-minute online seminar for rectors and stewardship teams on Tuesday, May 28, at 2:30 PM Central, focused on planning and leading your fall stewardship campaign.
The cost is $100.
If that time doesn’t work for you, I’m open to offering an evening session in early June—but only if there’s enough interest. So please do one of two things:
– If you can join on May 28, register today.
– If you’d prefer an evening session in June, reply and let me know. I want to meet the need. (Hit reply and send the word “evening”.)
2. The Christ Church Stories – Not Just for Plano
If you haven’t yet read through The Christ Church Stories, I’d love for you to take a look. These stories are not just about a local parish—they’re about a generation of ministry, the slow and faithful departure from the Episcopal Church, and the costly pursuit of mission, evangelism, and biblical faith.
They’re resonating with many readers on Substack, and I want you to have access.
3. A New Article on the Creed
I recently contributed a piece to Anglican Compass titled God from God, Light from Light, True God from True God, Begotten, Not Made. It is a personal reflection on the Nicene Creed and why it matters more than ever. It’s a story rooted in my own family, and one I felt compelled to tell.
I am glad that Peter Johnston is doing a series on the Nicene Creed for its 1700 Anniversary.
4. Preaching Pentecost and Trinity Sunday
Two of the most glorious Sundays in the Church Year are nearly upon us. In Ten Ways to Preach the Church Year, I offer sermon prompts and frameworks for both Pentecost and Trinity Sunday. If you already have the book, you’ll find those chapters ready to serve.
If not, now’s a good time to get your hands on it. It is available today on Amazon.
Grateful for your ministry and your partnership in the Gospel.
Faithfully,
David+
