Happy Birthday Fr. David. Thank you for chronicling this history. We in ACNA are now back at the same issue you are going to be writing about next - WO. I am still very uncomfortable with the fact that I no longer find biblical support for it. Looking forward to what you have to say.
Happy Birthday, David! Having never belonged to the Episople or Anglican denomination or church, some of this is hard for me to truly understand other than the core ideological issues that caused the split. However, I’m still interested in hearing what you went through during this time and appreciate the stories.
2. Both the timing and some of the methods for ACNA growth helped lead to the divisions we have today. Bringing in a new Anglican and making him a bishop because he had a reputation for church growth is one of those unforced errors. (And you know which bishop I am talking about.)
We should have gotten a better handle on who we are and what our boundaries are before pushing so hard on church growth.
I know what you mean. The lifeboat metaphor became a strategy and Archbishop Bob's heart was to bring as many people into the new Province as possible.
Before WO is corrected, we must confront BC (Bishop Corruption).
The dirty little secret that is rotting the ACNA from the inside out. Possibly the Bishop Stewart Ruch III case can be opened to sunlight for disinfection!
Thank you for another story of kingdom realities--the kingdom of God clashing with human desires and instincts. It's amazing how being a leader is never easy, but so much is learned, and God reveals himself as glorious.
Happy Birthday, David! So enjoyed seeing you and Fran at the Christ Church 45th anniversary. Have loved these Christ Church Plano stories, especially the ones from before we met your family at Providence and were drawn out there. Blessings to you all!
Happy LXX, Fr. David! May the Lord continue to bless you. Psalm 16.
I had wondered what had happened to AMiA. My understanding back then was that it was absorbed into the ACNA, then I didn't hear about it. It's sad to read about the strained relationships, yet there are important lessons to be learned.
Happy 70! I have read each episode with excitement and tears. Kathy and I have helped start 4 mission-churches since marrying in Plano and moving to Ga. God bless you and Fran.

What I hope to present on Thursday is how I dealt with the issue on the ground, at Christ Church...
Thanks for reading!
Happy Birthday, David! Blessings, Linda Ball

Thank you. It has been part joy and part therapy to write them... I have a few more to go... Thanks for reading them.
