Barbara, I think the point intended, was that this was to be a service of prayer to ask for the Lord's guidance and protection over our newly inaugurated president. Bishop Budde's remarks were not brave, but were inappropriate and unexpected from a leader of the church who should have put the Gospel of Christ ahead of her own political opinions.
